Beanies + Scarves Care Information
Beanies + Scarves
Our knits are made from leftover Italian yarns, including wool, alpaca and cashmere blends. Because we work with what’s available, the exact fiber composition varies—but a few simple habits will help keep every knit looking its best for seasons to come.
WASH LESS, WEAR MORE
Natural fibers don't need to be washed after every wear. Often, simply airing your knit out between wears is all it needs.
WHEN IT’S TIME TO WASH
Hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting, which can stretch the fibers. Gently reshape and lay flat to dry.
For an occasional machine wash, use a cold, delicate cycle and place your knit inside a mesh laundry bag. Always lay flat to dry.
A LITTLE PILLING IS NORMAL
Wool, alpaca and cashmere can naturally pill with friction, particularly when new. This is a normal characteristic of soft natural fibers—not a sign of poor quality.
Gently remove pills with a sweater comb or knitwear brush, taking care not to pull or snag the yarn.
NEED A SWEATER COMB?
A simple knitwear comb makes quick work of pills and helps refresh the surface.
RESHAPE AS NEEDED
Knitwear naturally relaxes and stretches with wear. Washing and gently reshaping your piece while damp can help bring it back to its original shape.
STORE IT WELL
Make sure your knit is completely clean and dry before storing it for the season. Fold rather than hang to prevent stretching, and store in a cool, dry place.
