The Piccola Ring Bag

So this bag… is not getting the attention it deserves. It’s LUXURIOUS. And I love luxury! As a momma with a second baby on the way, I’m not always able to feel my best (case and point - very pregnant belly in comfy athletic clothes). I’ve recently turned to purses to help make me feel a little more put together. And this one does the job and more. I mean the leather is so soft, but just structured enough that it folds appropriately when you use it as a shoulder bag or handbag (see photos). It smells wonderfully of Italian leather shops - and I have been in plenty - but the prominent gold hardware elevates it above just regular leather bags. And as a mom - the fact that I can use it for a dinner date or going to the store with the kids is a huge selling point. Makes it multi functional for the same cost - and I don’t have to move any items between bags!

Won’t lie - the fact that these are leftover leathers is pretty impressive. I have no idea how they did this, but I believe it with the price lol, and I also believe it’s worth it. I don’t usually write reviews, but for a small woman owned business who uses tanneries in my favorite country but is still American based AND sustainability focused — I just thought she earned 15 mins of my time :)

I’m in love with this bag! The red is gorgeous and goes with everything. I have all 3 sizes of this bag and this one is perfect- fits everything I need and has a zip pocket which I love. Versatile style with multiple strap options. Highly recommend!

I could not resist the Black Croco and made my second Hyer Goods purchase within a month of my first. It’s hard for me to justify adding another black bag to my extensive collection but this one is a sophisticated and unique take on a black bag. I’ve never really been big on texture or more exotic leathers, but this one brought me out of my comfort zone and I’m already eyeing the brown Python one for my third Ring Bag. I will probably stick to the normal size for my travels and errands, but the Piccola is perfect for holding my essentials for dinners or nights out. Happy to support this woman-owned brand and love the use of leftover leather. I’ve been getting so many compliments and recommending to all my friends!

The print, the versatility, the quality all are amazing, I highly recommend this bag and will be back for more items from Hyer Goods. The size is great for every day and travel.

Okay I need to talk about this bag because it's honestly perfect. The leather is unbelievably soft, like buttery soft, and the silver hardware just makes the whole thing look even more gorgeous. I love that there are two pockets inside, so much easier to actually find my stuff instead of digging around forever. And the fact that I can wear it a few different ways means it goes with literally everything, which is exactly why I've already worn it multiple times since getting it. It's gorgeous, it's versatile, it's a total win.
And can we talk about the customer experience? Next level. Quick, kind, attentive, responsive, every single interaction was amazing. As a Senior CX Manager myself, I know next-level service when I see it, and this was it. Companies just don't do customer service like this anymore.
Bag is 100% worth the price per wear. No notes. 10/10 recommend. Obsessed.

I had never heard of this brand until my sister gifted me the Piccola for my birthday. Now that I've been using the bag for a bit I wanted to give an honest and detailed review:

Pros:
1. The ability to wear it multiple ways (crossbody, shoulder, handbag, sling style) is amazing. It's a true day to night bag which makes it perfect for traveling and errands, as well as nights out.
2. Smooth soft leather (not pebbled)
3. Minimalist design, no obnoxious branding/logos
4. Multiple interior pockets- with zippers!
5. FLAT!! I love how it lays flat and curves against the shape of your body. I've tried on similar bags and because they are thicker it feels too bulky, but this is flat against my body and easy to pack as it lays flat.

Cons:
1. The zippers are not as smooth as I would expect of a bag at this price point. Maybe once they are used more it will be better, but as of now it's a little difficult to zip and unzip.
2. I wish it had an exterior pocket to help keep things separate and organized.
3. The crossbody strap: I don't like how you have to unbuckle and rebuckle it to adjust the length of the strap. And because there are only a few holes, the adjusting ability is limited. I wish it was just a regular adjustable strap.
4. Shiny gold hardware/zippers: I know this is personal preference but I wish there was an option for monochromatic hardware so that it blends with the color of the bag. OR, if that's not possible, I'd prefer the gold to be less shiny. Think of the matte/muted gold that brands like All Saints and Coach sometimes use.
5. (Not a con for this bag, but rather the Ring bag line as a whole): After I received this bag, I looked at other bags from the brand and discovered the Micro version. I would consider getting that one as well but I don't like how there are no interior pockets.

Overall I like the bag but if these cons were addressed it would be absolutely perfect and I would for sure buy another one :)

The leather is sumptuous and the smell was divine as I unboxed my beautiful new bag. Love the gold hardware with the black. And I have already loved the versatility of wearing this 3 ways in the first week alone. It holds just enough for daily errands and running around. I definitely over analyzed the size differences before I chose the Piccola because I’m only 5’3”. It will comfortably hold my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, and even my Kindle. But if you’re on the fence I know I would have enjoyed the original just as much too! I don’t think it would have been too big at all. They are truly beautiful. And my next “treat yourself” bag will be the Hobo Ring Bag for the days when I need to haul it all! Love supporting small, female owned business with a heart for reclaiming and using what would otherwise be a beautiful waste. Can’t wait to add to build a collection.

Got this in the gorgeous chocolate color! Fits all my essentials (hard case for sunnies, big iphone, ring of keys, sanitizer, hair clip,) for me though, that's probably all I'd put in there so the slouch effect remains. Can fit more than that in the regular ring bag size while still maintaining the slouch. Love both sizes! Would love to have the off-white one too (if my wallet will allow it!)

I have been eyeing this bag for over a year, but now that I’ve finally pulled the trigger I can say confidently it is worth every penny and I wish I hadn’t waited that long. It’s perfect for travel or everyday use with the crossbody length, and it fits my kindle along with my other essentials if you are also wondering what size can fit a kindle. The leather is deliciously soft and seems to repel scratches, magic?! And I love that it is both functional and not overly precious but also sexy and sleek at the same time. I will be a repeat customer for sure.

Got my bag in today and I am OBSESSED! The leather is buttery soft and the color stunning. The two zip pockets in the interior are a functional size, and the bag is gorgeous all three ways. I also appreciate the ability to adjust the cross body length strap! I bought this bag with the intent of taking on a trip to the UK later this summer, but it’s immediately starting its rotation as my every day bag.

Really happy with this bag, very high quality and so soft. I will be able to wear this across the whole day which was my goal. I really like the Piccola size - allows me to carry everything that was in my old cross body bag without a problem. It feels very luxurious and at the same time manageable!

I just received my Piccola Ring Bag, and it is spectacular. The moment the buttery leather was in my hands I could not believe the luxe feel of the leather. It is on another level. The design and shape of the bag are perfection. I ordered the bag in the black so it will truly be a bag I can carry for every event in life. I also ordered the extra gold chain to have the ability to change the look of the strap if I want and I am so glad I did! I had 3 friends over for lunch the other day, and I am not exaggerating that before they left my house they had all pulled the bag up on their phone to order for themselves. This is a truly special bag. Considering ordering the micro!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I could not love this bag more! I bought my first ring bag in Python print and I can't wait to come back for more. It's so versatile, soft, and easy to use. The strap options are genius! I think I have finally found the perfect handbag - and I didn't think that was ever possible! Bring on more colors!!

This was my first purchase, along with the Autostrada tote. I was lucky to get it in the dark cherry color which is what made me make a beeline to this bag when I saw it. It's the most beautiful elegant pop of color against any of my typically neutral/dark coats and jackets. It carries more stuff than one would imagine for a bag that looks small and compact when worn. The versatility of being able to wear it different ways is great and makes me feel like I have multiple bags out of one! The leather is soft and buttery. Delish!

I bought a ring bag for my honeymoon because I was packing light and wanted one bag that I could wear day and night for the whole trip. It is the perfect travel bag. So versatile and holds a ton without looking bulky. It’s quickly become one of my most-worn bags.

The Hyer Goods team was amazing, too. I had an issue with USPS that was going to delay my bag from arriving before my honeymoon. The team was super responsive and sent out another one right away to make sure I’d get it in time for my trip.

The purse is fine however larger than anticipated. My packing slip does not show my order number which is required for return. I’ve reached out several times for an assist from customer service without response. Very disappointed in customer care.

Super versatile and buttery smooth leather bag. Only marking down a star because there was a slight scuff/leather defect on the bag when I received it but it is not noticeable when wearing/using. The clip rings take some getting used to but are easy to latch together once you use them more.

Super soft leather and so easy to transition between the straps. The Piccola size holds a Kindle, too!

I’ve been looking for the perfect everyday black hand/shoulder bag for a long time, and I’ve finally found it here! The leather has a soft, supple hand, with just the right amount of slouch to fall perfectly against the body. I’m over monograms and branding, and this is a classic, beautifully made piece that will always be in style. I love the different strap options, and how easy it is to make it a crossbody, as well ~ I usually have to wear a different bag when I need a crossbody for a day of walking around, but this I can just change up in less than a minute before I head out! Within a day I was back here to order a full size ring bag (for days when I need to carry a little more), the micro (for nights out!), and the chain strap to go with them for even more variety in wearing. Love them all!
